Presented by Sherita T. Sparrow
Founder & CEO at Art & Memory Care Certification, LLC
When I started providing art sessions at nursing homes, I learned that it’s not easy developing art projects for the elderly from scratch.
There was no blueprint to follow.
Initially, my confidence was shaky when doing art with the elderly. I struggled. My art projects were either too difficult for the residents to complete, which resulted in me doing it for them, or the projects were too easy and not age appropriate. This made the finished artwork look childish. But I didn’t give up because I knew things would work out…

After many failed attempts, I changed my approach and focused on engaging the elderly in art on a holistic level. These adjustments helped me regain poise and establish amazing breakthroughs that empower residents, offer them a sense of self-worth and heal the Mind-Body-Spirit beyond clinical care.

And this is what I want to help you do!
