A Bit About Me
It would be a pleasure to be your Art & Memory Care Instructor. I have experience doing holistic art with residents in skilled nursing, assisted living communities, adult day centers, and group homes. The Art & Memory Care Certification™ program offers great value to the activity profession.

The purpose of Art & Memory Care Certification™ is to show you how to use art holistically to connect with elders on a deeper level. Expanding person-centered care beyond the surface. The methods are easy to learn and adaptable to any resident's capabilities.
​
What inspires me about the Art & Memory Care Certification™ Program is seeing the positive effects holistic art has on elders. Art allows elders to share their thoughts and feelings without judgment. It's a moment to be free in their world. Free from worry, stress, aches, and pains. After every art session, residents appear happier and accomplished.

And the best part about using art holistically is seeing family members connect with their loved one through the creative process. Art seems to help family members cope with their loved one's progressive disease. Frustrations and a sense of hopelessness seem to disappear at that moment.
It's really about building connections!
